About David
A former student of renowned sleight-of-hand expert John Gustaferro, David began creating original magic and performing at restaurants and parties while still in middle school. As a teenager, David received recognition as an award-winning member of the world-famous Magic Castle, and went on to become one of the youngest headliners in the club’s history. To date, David’s Magic Castle performances number in the hundreds, and he has since performed around the globe.
From Hong Kong to Paris, from Sun Valley to San Diego, David’s eye-popping, head-turning, jaw-dropping impossibilities have stunned audiences of all ages. In 2004, David was selected as a featured performer at the now-famous Allen & Company Business Convention, annual meeting place of luminaries such as Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and Oprah Winfrey. On television, David has played (you guessed it) a magician on FOX’s Boston Public, and has entertained celebrities like Charlie Sheen, John Cryer, Orson Bean, and many others.
Always creating, always refining, David has been featured in both the prestigious MAGIC Magazine and in international revue shows dedicated to highlighting magic’s brightest young stars.
David’s magic is art for the 21st century: he defies natural laws with ordinary objects like borrowed rings, coins, ballpoint pens, and rubber bands. His performance style is close-up and fully interactive. Spectators take part in the action – holding objects, choosing numbers, and helping to create unique situations. David regularly entertains at private parties, weddings, and corporate events. Recently he performed for his parents’ 40th wedding anniversary where his mom crowned him the “best magician ever.”
Away from magic, David holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Whittier College and enjoys live music, yoga, and travel.
